What version is my PS5 controller?

It's very easy to identify the version of your controller, look at the back side of the controller and look at the first number in the serial code. Number 1 means BDM-10 (version 1) etc.

What is stick drift and how does Hall Effect and TMR work?

Stick drift
Standard analog sticks use rubbing potentiometer disc on a carbon layer, the more it rubs (how you use your stick), the more a it worns out. Once the carbon layer is worn out, readings are not accurate and the stick starts drifting.

Hall effect
Hall effect sticks are not using any rubbing parts, instead they use magnets to precisely measure differences in electrical voltage to detect movement. This makes them more durable (no rubbing parts) and accurate. 

TMR (Tunneling magnetoresistance)
This technology uses ferromagnetism and quantum tunneling to detect movement. This technology makes them more accurate than hall effect and as a bonus, TMR sticks use less power and are more responsive than Hall Effect. Thinka bout TMR as Hall effect, just better.

How can I ship my pad for repair on modification and what's the turnaround?

It's easy with no additional charges! Unlike with other shops, you don't pay any shipping.

1. After the purchase of repair or modification service, you will receive prepaid Royal Mail label free of charge. No printer needed.
2. Pack your controller securely to avoid damage during the shipping
3. Write your full name, return address and order number (from confirmation email) on a note and add it into the package
4. Use any Collect+ store, post office or Royal Mail parcel box to ship your controller.
5. Once we receive your controller, we will profesionally fix it within 48 hours.
6. Your pad will be securely packed and shipped back to you via Royal Mail Tracked 48. You will receive an email with tracking info.

We usually fix/modify all controllers within 24 hours from the delivery.

When will my order be shipped and how long before I get it?

If you placed your order before 13:00, your order will be shipped the same working day

If you placed your order after 13:00, your order will be shipped next working day

If you placed your order between Friday 13:00 and Sunday 13:00, your order will be shipped on Sunday.

PadKings history

PadKings started as a small business refurbishing and selling Playstation controllers on Vinted in the April 2024.

As the time went, we expanded to other online platforms, started providing repair service and selling parts cheaper than Amazon or eBay! We decided to establish an online store in June 2025 and going strong ever since, growing every month!

The law provides for some exceptions where there is no right of withdrawal in order to prevent abuse or to take account of special situations (Section 312g (2) BGB):
Sealed software as soon as the seal is removed (protection against copying).
Services with complete performance - once the repair/modification is done, right of withdrawal forfeits.
Customized goods - Products that have been individually manufactured according to customer specifications

Warranty and how to claim it

Controllers and Dualsense Edge stick modules:
All comes with 12 months warranty (counted from the day of purchase).

Each controller contains tamper proof warranty sticker, with unique number and barcode. Warranty repair/replacement may be denied, if the sticker is missing, has been tampered or is broken.

Parts, tools and accessories:
All parts, tools and accessories come with 12 months warranty (counted from the day of purchase).

Waranty is only valid up to instalation point, for example if you purchase TMR sticks and solder them to your controller, sticks are longer covered by warranty. This is due to possible damage during instalation process.

Repairs or modifications 
All repairs and modifications come with 12 months warranty. 

Warranty does not cover physical damage, wear and tear and unprofessional instalation.
